So, welcome back to my blog. It's been a long time for me not to text a post. This is a sick season. I hope you are all well.  The topic of this post is about Historical Recount Text. What's that? Let me share!

What is Historical Recount Text? 

Historical Recount text is a text that has the function to retell events or experiences that occurred in the past. This text aims to provide information related to events and/or entertain readers who read the writing or listen to the text.

Kind of Historical Recount Text

In general, recount texts consist of personal, factual, and imaginative recount texts.
1) Personal recount text is a text that functions to tell about the speaker's personal experience or writer.
2) Factual recount text serves to present reports of events that actually occurred, such as reports of scientific experiments or historical records.

3) Imaginative recount text is usually chosen to present an imaginative story that contains imaginative events or events that have occurred.

Historical Recount Text Social Function

Report or retell shared experiences or events in the past.

The structure of recount text usually includes:

- orientation

- sequence of events/activities/events

- reorientation (reorientation)

Linguistic Elements
-vocabulary or terms related to historical events

-simple past tense

-action verb

-conjunction

-adverb of time

-adverb of place
